Laurens Little League entering 5th Season
The City of Laurens Parks and Recreation is proud to present Little League Baseball and Softball for the 2008 Season. Registration is now taking place and will end on February 23. Registration dates are Monday through Thursday 3pm-6pm and on Saturdays from 11am-3pm. To be eligible for Laurens Little League you must live inside Laurens County. The ages and divisions for this season are 3-4 weeball, 5-6 teeball, 7-8 coaches pitch baseball and softball, 9-10 Minors baseball and softball, 11-12 Majors Baseball and Softball and 13-14 Juniors Baseball.
Some special events associated with Laurens Little League are Opening Night on March 14th, at the LDHS Gym, March 15th opening day with the Greenville Drive as our special guests all during the day. The Drive will be bringing the Drive Mascot, bouncy castles and speed pitch games. All teams will be taking pictures and playing a game this day. Also on April 26th, it will be Laurens Little League night at the Greenville Drive Stadium, lots of special events for our league players. The end of the season will be highlighted with our League Tournament and then the selected All-Star teams will be representing Laurens on their way to various state titles.
